Easter Brunch French Toast

As we enter Easter week, I wanted to share one of my favorite Easter brunch recipes with you. Our overnight french toast is a delicious and nutritious addition to your Easter brunch table. Letting it sit overnight does take some time, but there is something so special about all the yummy ingredients soaking into the bread all night. Each bite will be bursting with flavor in the morning!

We served this french toast piled high with roasted local apples with cinnamon and maple syrup. The apples add a lovely texture variation and just the right amount of natural sweetness. But if you’re not feeling the apples, fresh berries also work nicely! While some may see syrup simply as a condiment to drizzle over top, including it in the creation process makes all the difference.

When making this recipe, I use McGrath’s Sourdough bread, but It can easily be made gluten-free if you use gluten-free bread. Our recipe is dairy-free, but if you prefer regular milk you could always substitute regular milk for the oat milk. You should always feel the freedom to adjust recipes based on your own dietary needs and preferences. Food should taste good and make you feel good!

I know this recipe might take a little extra planning and patience, but trust me, it’s worth it. Let us know when you try this recipe and who you decide to share it with this Easter!
